How do you use "ie" properly in a sentence.?

i.e. = "that is" or "that is to say" or "in other words"

do not use it when you want to say "for example". use "e.g." for that. it is a slight difference, and there can be some overlap.

I love martial arts, e.g. karate, kung-fu and judo.

I love martial arts, i.e. I am a real martial-arts aficionado!

Use "i.e." when you are restating or further explaining your thought. Use "e.g." when you have an example to give that is an instantiation of your thought.

Some things annoy me, ie: attention wh*res, loud people, egotistical people, and ignorant people.

you would use "ie" the same way as you would use the word "example" in a sentence.
betwin sentence write (ie.******)
"I know the words to the song, "Old Mac Donald" ie: "ee-eye-ee-eye-oh!"
ie is an abbreviation that means "that is "

its a latin phase "id est "
it means "for example". So when you're making a statement and want to give an example then say your statement and when you've made your point use IE and give the examples.
don't you know what ie means?

it's like "that is" or in some cases like "for example."

I liked the challenges ie ...___
ie is used to list examples of whatever you are referring to in the sentence.
