I'm sorry for your loss :(

Robins are known here , to come in the springs and spring is sown as a season of changes-the death of winter is renewed by the birth of spring into summer. Showing you the death of the body is the birth of the soul into the afterlife. That everything is alright. Birds are also seen as calm peaceful and beautiful.

Birds (usually sparrows, but I'm guessing robins will do as well) are associated with escorting a soul to the afterlife. The appearance and then reappearance of the bird indicates a successful journey to (((the spiritual heaven of your belief system))). I'm not a superstitious man, but I would certainly take that as a great sign.
