Just browse to C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ then random looking letters} open that folder up. Then, there is a folder there that says "bookmark backup" It has all the bookmarks in html format.

Go to My Computer - C drive - Documents and Settings - look for your user account name - in the folder Favorites, where you can find all your previous stored favorites are there.
i suggest you rollback to IE 6, as IE7 is still beta, and is extremly vunerable
