Go to "Tools" and click "Internet Options" Click the "Content" tab and "enable" the Content Advisor. Click the "Approved Sites" tab and enter the URL of the site you want to block. Then click the "Never" button and then "ok". Enter a password and click ok again. The site is now blocked.
Blocking certain websites from IE?internet browser internet explorer
yes. you can do it by editing your "hosts" file.
on XP PC's it is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
add a line like
127.0.0.1 yahoo.com
The only thing that I know of that comes with IE is under the tools drop down menu in internet options. Select the content tab, and doing that you can select some content that you want restricted, such as adult themes and violence. I don't think that this is password protected, but there may be some third-party software that are able to do the same thing while being pasword protected.
Why are you still usig IE? This browser is the main source of viruses to ones computer. Try:
Mozilla.org
Netscape.com
Yes. Go to "Privacy Report" in "View" on your toolbar. Click on "Show". Click on "All Websites" and "restriced". You will be able to add a website to your list. Good Luck and God bless you.
