PC users - Firefox or IE?

Which is better and why?

Firefox is definitely superior because it had the tabbed function long before IE started using it/experimenting with it, it's also far more customisable. You can download skins, plugins and extensions for free and some are really high quality. I've downloaded various valuable plugins/extensions such as an extra-tab-functionality sort of item, a pop-up blocker, and a script-stopper, which basically disables all scripts (Flash, javascript, etc) on any new website I visit unless I tell it otherwise. Thus I feel firefox is highly secure, whereas IE is not very customisable, full of loopholes, and copied the tab idea.

Oh, and it doesn't take a while to boot up for me, unlike what others have said.

Firefox, because it isn't Microsoft.
Fire fox is safer from posible exposure to a virus
I use firefox - I find it to be more stable, IE crashes often, and there are no pop ups. Only draw back is that it takes a while to boot up.
Firefox is better for me, but it doesn't do as well on Java as it does IE. I have both, use them for different things!
firefox, because IE has to many Spyware comming on his *** from many many websites.
.Depends on what you are planning on doing and the types of sites you go to. Just install both and use them interchangeably
Firefox, it is Open Source Code so you are ALLOWED to make any changes that you want. It is actually a crime to reverse engineer or alter IE in any way, shape or form. Allthogh Microsoft does not actively pursue those that do , they can.

Read the EULA.
