How do I get IE to remember my passwords and login information?

I deleted some files by mistake and now when I login into a website, I have to input this data all over again, it wasn't doing this before!

You can do this by the following steps:-

a)Open IE and click on TOOLS menu %26gt; INTERNET OPTIONS %26gt; CONTENT tab.

b)Under “personal information” click on AUTO COMPLETE button.

c)Once you do this another window called AutoComplete Settings pops up. In this window you can check the options for “User names and passwords on forms” and “Prompt me to save passwords”

d)Click OK button on this window. Click OK button on Internet Options window.

After this open the sites which you want to login and store the information for.

Input the correct data and you will be prompted for confirmation on storing the data. Please click on YES button and your information will be stored by IE.

IE will never remember the PW and login info for most users for more than 10 min. You were lucky.

I've used it for months and it works. It's tricky to set up but worth it.

I have it set for Facebook; Yahoo; YouTube; everything with a PW and log-in.

As long as the web page URL remains the same it always works. Make sure to check "Ignore URL session variables". That's the most important setting.

That's why IE doesn't remember: because many URLs contain a code (variable) that changes everytime you visit a site.

Look for a URL question mark. Anything after that is usually the variable.

Biz-Form bar ignores the variable when checked off.
