Can anyone at work (ie the IT) work out i spend all my time on internet ? lol.?windows xp service

as an IT guy the answer is YES!!!!! If they wanted to, they could look at your history, what files you have downloaded (even if you think you've erased them). If they are good, they can find everything you've ever done on the computer. So be careful.

Can anyone at work (ie the IT) work out i spend all my time on internet ? lol.?microsoft xp internet explorer

yup
very possible and it will probably cause you some trouble in a long run
Yes they can.

Some companies have software that not only logs the website you visited but it logs the amount of time spent on that website.

Be careful

Meant to add some have keylogger software that monitors your keystrokes. (they can see everything you type)
the IT knows every thing unless you delete your comp. history, and then they'll still know that you deleted the history.
Of course they can. Live if they want to without waiting.
Yes. They can track everything you do. Every website you go to and every keystroke you make.
it's possible, but it depends on how closely your network is monitored.

If no one is looking, then no one can tell, but if someone decides to look, they don't need to look at your computer history, they can get your IP address and look it up in the history inside a router, where you can't go to erase it
Of course. They can check in your log-in times and everything. After all, it is their machine you are using isn't it?
Yes I work in IT and routinely inspect peoples surfing habits, reports go to people who need to see them etc.

every time you type something into Internet explorer and press enter it is logged, even the most basic of equipment has this functionality.

some companies pro actively spy on people some don't.

I can 100% guarantee that at least one person a day looks a porn

at my company, (and not just men, you would be surprised at what I've found on women's computers)

I would say if you have an aggressive IT policy i would be wary, but otherwise it may only come to light if you are looking at porn or other really naughty stuff.
Of course they can. You may be able to delete the history from your PC but not from the server.

It can be a sackable offence if you spend too long on there for no good reason.

Is Firefox better than IE?

I have a mac and I perfer to use firefox over IE. But i have both on my computer. I think it works faster..... firefox.

Is Firefox better than IE?windows firewall

Is Firefox better than IE?microsoft frontpage internet explorer

I've heard that it is ...but my laptop (I am not on it now) won't let me download it properly.
Absolutely! and safer too. Firefox is far superior to IE.
Firefox , mozilla, opera are far mbetter than IE, because they are more stable and secure.
yes because theres a lot of extensions(like plug-ins) and theme to make ur browser more cooler! theres a plug-in which u can download videos from the different sites which is my favorite!!
Does a bear crap in the woods?

When in the last 10 years has Microsoft actually been better then anything else?

It's better because it' faster, more reliable (doesn't crash all the time) and thousands of times more secure then IE.

http://www.mozilla.org
Waaaaaaaaaaaayyy better! Definitely download %26amp; use it! Heck free yourself from MS hell %26amp; use alternates like linux (has pretty pic's like MS - not as scary as you think %26gt; redhat is a good flavor for a newbie + has lots of help %26amp; is super easy to setup), open office %26amp; ton's of other great programs. You'll wonder why you didn't make the jump earlier. + the added security is nice.
its more stable than IE
I love it, and you can customize the toolbar with fun frames/ designs.
firefox is better than ie in all areas except videos. fierfox has probles viewing windows media videos. no workaround for it yet either.

think i'm wrong? try viewing this u2 vid on my site with firefox. it doesn't work for me.

http://dwight.clickthesky.com/internetti...
yes, because it's faster, more secure and more reliable than IE, plus you have TONS of free plugins to customize your browsing experience to your wants and desires.
I use firefox a lot. Im some cases its tons better in other cases it's not.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
It depends on you. I had always been using IE until about a year and a half ago. I first tried Firefox then and didn't like it.

But about a year ago I started creating my own websites and found that firefox was much better in some respects since it did not "mess up" the sites I was creating compared to I.E. and my sites complied to w3c and some were CSS valid. Now I almost exclusively use Firefox and only test my sites in I.E. to see whats not showing up correctly. I have also found that I.E.7 has several "errors" that render some sites terribly that show up correctly in Firefox and even I.E.6. My vote now is for Firefox.

You might need to reload the driver or reconfigure the options. Also, some can be really sensitive to inadvertent touches.

Just heard about safari ie. anyone use? better than Microsoft IT? seems alot faster. Any reason not

Hi Allison

Yeah, it's a browser that was for Mac pc's but is now available for Windows.

I also have it and use it sometimes and have to say it is pretty fast. No reason why you shouldn't use it. I like it!

Just heard about safari ie. anyone use? better than Microsoft IT? seems alot faster. Any reason not to usewindows media player

Firefox is better than everything else put together, and faster.

Just heard about safari ie. anyone use? better than Microsoft IT? seems alot faster. Any reason not to usewindows live messenger internet explorer

I agre Firefox was the only web browser to be able to conect to our dial up internet, it automatically detects the connection where as with Internet Explorer when we changed to wireless broadband took me 10 minutes to set up the connection settings. You can add more toolbars, change the icons and it is also faster, a brilliant web browser. The download manager is also good, where as even in Internet explorer 7 no download manager is present

Differentiation of complex Powers? ie 2^x^2?

I always have trouble remembering how to differentiate complex powers.

x^2 is easy! Its 2x!

But what happens when you have more powers than that?

What if you have 2^x^2 or 2^x^3^x ???

How do you handle these things?

Differentiation of complex Powers? ie 2^x^2?microsoft office

y = 2^(x2)

log y = (x2) (log 2)

(1/y) (dy/dx) = (2) (log 2) (x)

(dy/dx) = (y) (2) (log 2) (x)

dy/dx = (2^x2)(2) (log 2) (x)

dy/dx = 2^(x2 + 1) (log 2) (x)

Differentiation of complex Powers? ie 2^x^2?opera browser internet explorerThank you for your vote. Report It

consider 2^x^2=y

log 2^x^2=log y

x^2*log 2=log y

(1/y)dy/dx=log 2*(2*x) [log 2 is a constant]

dy/dx=(2^x^2) *(log 2)(2*x)

this is the ans
