there is a " new google search" but when I type in my search query it takes me to "google" but the site is actually searchgateway.net, there isnt an option to remove this search, help.

It sounds like your computer is infected with spyware, trojan or antivirus because your search bar has been hijacked. My guess is that your registry has been changed to alter the searchbar.

If you have the programs, run antivirus, antispyware, and antitrojan. Try Windows Defender and whatever security programs came pre-installed with your computer.

If you don't have these, you can get them free at downloads.com. I recommend, free AVG anti-spyware, 30 day trial with Counterspy, and a 30 day trial with Kaspersky (antivirus). If you don't want to do the trials, then try ad-aware, spybot search and destroy and AVG anti-virus free edition.

There is a blue magnifiying glass icon to the right of the search text box... click on the pull-down menu next to it %26amp; select "Yahoo! Search."

It sounds like IE7 is defaulted to this SearchGateway engine. To change the default go to that same pull-down menu I mentioned above %26amp; select "Change Search Defaults..." and set Yahoo as your default.

If that doesn't work, it sounds like you've got some weird pluggin that mucks around with your settings... Hopefully that's not the case. Best luck to you!
This is what my husband would say. If you have any of the Windows version, use them because many people he's come across have had problems with Vista. He tells people not to use Vista because the software sucks so bad. He tells them to use like Windows 98 and up. Forget Vista. And there is a way to get rid of Vista off your computer. I just can't remember.

Also John Gault talked about anti-virus stuff, don't listen to him. We downloaded a anti-virus called Avast and you can download the free software. You just have to provide your email address and you can get a 90 day free trial, then when that is up, you can get a whole yr of the Avast as long as you have the email address. It really works and you pay nothing. It is absolutly free. As long as you download the home edition, not the work edition.

The last three days I've been getting pop ups from Internet Explorer saying there's a problem with an add-on and needs to close. Then, of course, I get booted out of whatever I'm working on. Does anyone know what's going on? This isn't a "my computer" thing is it?

Nope this isn't ur PC.

It's basically a desing defficency in IE 6 and 7. Although Microsoft has released IE 7 it didn't address the major problems of not supporting (really it's IE System crash) for cirtian 3rd party add-ons or Div-X.

There's nothing you can do about this. But still you can try downloading the latest updates/security settings from Microsoft. But it won't resolve the problem entirely, only reduce the frequency of crashing.

The best thing to do is Download FireFox2. It's free and it's way more reliable than IE.

My default webbrowser is Mozilla FireFox2 and it works fine (even for the sites where IE crashes and refuses to open) I only use IE for microsoft specific contents, and only when they force it :D

Because the freezing point of alcohols is much lower than that for water.

Each substance has different specific freezing and boiling temperature. Since most foods contain water, that is what freezes.

The freezing point of ethyl alcohol is -117.3oC, or -179,14F. Since vodka is only about 10% alcohol you wouldn't have to go that low to make it freeze (since it's a mixture of water and alcohol), but I'm pretty sure the average freezer would never get there anyway.

It might have to do with the server rather than your browser, but it could be simply the IE sucks. Try Firefox or Opera.
Try and increase your cache size for your browser. It is under Tools%26gt;%26gt; Internet Options. Either that or clear out your cache which is also in the same place.

I had the same problem and have solved it but it is not easy to explain. A long detective story here which I am not sure I can adequately summarize here. First let me say that IE7 is no longer a beta install as someone else said, it has been fully released by Microsoft.

Solution: Do you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed? (Check Control Panel, Add Remove Programs). If so that is likely your problem. You very likely don't need it and I suggest deleting it (using Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs). You could reinstall v. 1.1 as that one is not a problem.

4th question: "My favorite websites don't load correctly.......", download the tool, and verify that spoofing IE6 allows you to see your Yahoo Mail OK. If so then go to the Microsoft site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defaul...

The problem is that .NET 2.0 creates a User Agent String that Yahoo Mail is not recognizing (no doubt they will eventually but who knows when). Yahoo Mail has not configured their servers to accept the combination of IE7 and .NET 2.0.

Hope this helps, it did for me, I had exactly the same problem you described (on 2 computers no less) but no longer. I managed to find this out because my 3rd computer had no .NET Framework at all (and never missed not having it as Sun Java is the predominant software for IE applications).

yahoo e-mail can also be accessed using a "beta" version that loads like a program, with drag and drop functionality... it's called yahoo mail beta, try it, it should allow you to format your e-mails

I have the same problem--seems like a lot of people do. I would like to know what is going on. I would not have upgraded to IE 7 if I knew my Yahoo email was going to be downgraded. VERY FRUSTRATING. I requested help but received no answer from Yahoo Customer Care.

You should not paint in the first trimester. After that, it's generally ok as long as the room is well ventilated and you take frequent breaks.

Its not recommended because paint does release toxic fumes. But if you cant trust your partner, or you really want to be involved, open all the windows in the room, set up a fan for ventillation and get a face mask. Oh, and dont forget to have fun. *smiles*

I was painting the day b4 I went into labor... Of course I didn't know that at the time. To be extra safe I bought baby safe paint from babysupermall.com. The reason I liked it so much was because they said it was safe for me and it has no lead in it that the baby can inhale. You can also get a color that matches your baby's bedding. The biggest challenge for me was keeping my big belly from touching the wall :)

I asked this same question on yahoo about 4 months ago. Yes, it is safe, my doctor allowed me to do it, which I did. Me and baby are still doing great. Just make sure to have ventilation, a fan will help too. Also take breaks, it can be very exhausting! Good luck!

I asked my doctor about this b/c I wanted to paint. He said that it was okay as long as the room was well ventilated AND I wore a mask at all times. Any fumes that take place of the air you need to breathe can cause dizziness and such, so the ventilation and mask prevent this. You will hear arguements for both sides(my husband's grandmother who lives over 1500 miles away wanted me to stay at the motel in town while the painting occurred and was willing to pay for it), but if your doctor okays it, don't mind them. However, we don't know your particular medical history, so make sure to ask the doctor, especially if you have asthma or other lung problems.
I think you can but then again I didn't paint my sons room due to the fact we live in an apartment and to do any kind of maintenance we have to have the front offices permission.
If you are not single - tell your partner you can't paint so they have to do it. This is one of those times where it's best to err on the side of caution. Our doctor advised my wife not to paint during her pregnancy. He also advised us not to paint the nursery less than a month before the baby moved in there.

If you do decide to paint; follow the advice of others here(ventilated room, face mask, water-based paint...)

Switch to Firefox. A lot of pages fix the font size so you cant really change it in IE. With Firefox, you can hold the ctrl key and use your scroll mouse to zoom the font as big or small as you want.

Go to view and click on it, then click on text size and choose the size that you want.
First you check in your system settings if you have selected accessiblity options or you change anything related to fonts usually it's good to set everything related to fonts in your system to default and then choose fonts to your preferred size. The reason for this is Most of the times different fonts appear in different sizes and different sites use different fonts. Last but not the least check the fonts option on your web browser set it to smallest for bigger font pages.

Yeah it's actually much better than old IE because you can have multiple tabs open in the same window. It also has a customisable search bar in the corner that I love. I highly recommend it.

Yes. You don't have much choice. Apparently Yahoo has there own version too. IE 7 looks pretty, but I think its mostly fluff and puff. The favorites really suck. Never expect anything special from Microsoft nowadays. Mine likes to crash a lot. Especially if I have to many tabs open. That's why I am getting back into the habit of using Firefox again. I was using Firefox Portable on my friends computer over Christmas and my Firefox ran faster than when she used her IE 7. She didn't like that. lol She is thinking of switching to Firefox now.

Eastern religions teach eastern meditation and visualization which is that people should clear their mind and in effect invite in a spirit guide. It works the same way as any other things.

When we are concentrating on one thing, we let go all other things.

(example: like when we are starving , we only think about food. and can't seem to focus on the job)

and when we are completely into that one thing we focused on,

the mind then frees itself from the action of staying focus and then reaches a state of .... (it has no name.)
It helps control your focus, which is a very difficult thing to do sometimes. Once you take your mind off of earthly things and clear it, nonearthy thoughts and feelings have more room.

1 - Open Internet Explorer

2 - Click Tools and select Internet Options

3 - Click the Programs tab

4 - Where it says "email", you want to select Outlook Express
